Evalution - What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

I think that a niche media institution such as Vertigo would distribute our product because firstly it is based in the UK, therefore, Vertigo is a distribution company that only distributes to the UK and also the budget that we may have would be too low for conglomerates to distribute and market. If our budget was big conglomerates such as Working Title or Universal would be able to distribute our product as they are high recognisable and with a big budget we would be able to use a wide range of marketing techniques such as synergy and convergence through technology to promote and distribute our film. However, i believe that this type of film would be distributed by a smaller company because it doesn't have a big effect for an opening seen and also the type of genre would make bigger companies nervous about distributing our product as they would have to think about whether it would attract the other countries rather then just theirs, therefore, i believe our type of genre wouldn't be as successful as a love film if it was distributed world wide. Therefore, i believe our media product would be a limited release.
